Scavenger Hunt
Students will divide into groups and find things in their environment which are examples of approximate measurement lengths. Students will use the digital camera to take photographs of their findings.

Constructing a Witch
Students will measure and cut strips of construction paper to make a witch for Halloween. This activity can be adapted to fit any holiday or other shape.

Making a Necklace
Students will measure and cut isosceles triangles out of wallpaper. They will roll them up to make beads of wallpaper to string and make a necklace.

Finding Area
Students will cut and paste 1 inch squares of construction paper to make some Halloween decorations. After the activity, students will find the area of each color used for the pictures. They will do this by counting the squares and coming up with a formula for finding area. Click here to see the graphs.
