After nine years of teaching English at Franklin Middle School, then working on the educational staff of the Greensboro, N.C. Historical Museum (I got to wear costumes and lead tours--so FUN!), and three years of teaching G/T at Mann, I received my master’s degree in Library & Information Science at the University of North Texas. Now I have the best job ever...kids AND books!!
Our Accelerated Reader progress!
One School, One Book!
This year's "One School, One Book" choice is Home of the Brave. Ms. Raney loved this book and is even giving teachers staff development credit for reading it!
Hey, did you see the book review links, arranged alphabetically, at the top of the page? Click on the link and then scroll through the reviews.
Let me know what YOU think about the books you read! You can send me email from this site...or here's a "novel" thought...talk to me in person at school tomorrow!
Librarian's Choice!
This year's "Librarian's Choice" is Home of the Brave by Katherine Applegate. After I read it and fell in love with it, Ms. Raney did the same thing! Then, MONTHS later, it was named a Texas Bluebonnet book. (That's right...Ms. Raney and I are AHEAD OF THE CURVE. LOL)
