  Mrs. Brandenburg

Welcome to Mrs. Brandenburg's Class!
This is my 23rd year to teach, and all those years have been at the middle school level--by my choice. I love middle school students! My home town is Garland where I taught Reading for 12 years with the Garland Independent School District. I'm completing my 11th year with Abilene I.S.D. at Lincoln. I have a B.A. in English & Political Science and a Master's Degree in Reading.

In 8th grade, the Language Arts class combines reading, writing, and grammar into one, 45 minute class period. Fasten your seatbelts for a quick pace!
Supplies
Organization is one of the main keys to success. A binder, if used properly, will ensure organization. Have one section of the binder reserved for English with the following dividers: 1) Assignment Sheet, 2)Literary Terms, 3)Graded Work, 4)Tests, 5)Notes, and 6)Grammar.
